What a long journey it’s been.
I began my mental health career fresh out of college, working in a children’s psychiatric hospital as a bachelor’s level counselor to adolescents.
I changed roles and began working as a family-based therapist where I worked with at-risk youth and their families.
A few years later, life took me on a new journey where I focused on child development and the importance of early social-emotional skills and secure attachments as preventative mental health care.
After eighteen years of fearing grad school, I finally applied and graduated with my Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling. From there I began working as an outpatient therapist in community mental health.
I’ve worked mainly with individuals with co-occurring conditions, C-PTSD, OCD, ADHD, BPD, Autism, and anxiety. I love my neurodivergent population!
I also really enjoy working with mothers who have early trauma and want to break generational cycles of abuse.
I’ve completed trainings on somatic healing (polyvagal theory and somatic experiencing) for traumatized individuals, parts-work, autism, and structural dissociation.
I specialize in somatic and relational therapy, and with clients who are told they are “too self-aware for therapy.”
